Recap: Delaware State vs. NC A&T

Adrian Powell filled the stat sheet with 23 points, nine rebounds and four assists as the seventh-seeded NC A&T Aggies took care of the sixth-seeded Delaware State Hornets, 78-74, at Norfolk Scope Arena to advance to the finals of the Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference Tournament.

Lamont Middleton scored 17 points for NC A&T (18-16) while Jean Louisme and Jeremy Underwood netted 12 points apiece and Bruce Beckford shot 4-of-5 for 10 points.

Tahj Tate paced Delaware State (15-18) with 19 points and six rebounds. Marques Oliver went for 17 points on 7-of-11 from the field, Tyshawn Bell tallied 14 points off the bench and Casey Walker had 11 points.

The Aggies shot 18-of-22 from the free throw stripe and won despite committing 19 turnovers. They will face Morgan State in the conference finals.
