Larry F. Grand was born December 30, 1940, in Lock Haven, PA, to Iona Grand and the late Frank O. Grand of Lock Haven, PA.

He is survived by his wife, Harriet Grand; daughters Diane Grand Hooper (Ken), Patricia Grand-Holsten of Wilson, (Rob); son Steven Grand; grandchildren Emily, Matt,and Sarah Hooper, and John Holsten; mother Iona Grand; sister Sharon Hull (Dave); aunt Emily Sohmer; uncle Robert Fisher; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and students from all over the world.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 219 West Edenton St., Raleigh, NC 27603, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 10:00am. Following the mass, family will receive friends at the NC State University Club, 4200 Hillsborough St., Raleigh, NC 27606.
