(Marty) Martha Jane Harrison., age 59, of Stone Arbor Way, Charlotte, NC, died Tuesday, March 20, 2013.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, March, 25, 2013at Raeford Cemetery, Raeford, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, Friday, March 22, at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC.

Marty was born April 26, 1953 in Raeford, NC to the late Henry D. and Gladys Baucom Harrison. She retired from Duke Energy in 1978 after becoming disabled from an automobile accident. Marty valued her independence to the extent that she set examples and inspired many other challenged people. In her spare time she handmade and donated latch hook to local assisted living centers.

She is survived by her brother David Harrison of Charlotte and her loving caregivers: Faye Belk, Blondel Martin, Elva Freeman, and Juanita Hyatt.
