Barbara Case McDonald, age 79, died March 20, 2013 at Duke Medical Center. She was born in Sacramento, CA to the late Frank H. and Dorothy Case. Barbara worked as a real estate broker in Durham and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Eugene J. McDonald of Durham, NC; Her six children, Michael John McDonald of Newnan GA; Mark Raymond McDonald of San Bernardino, CA; Matthew Dale McDonald of Kennett Square, PA; Martin Case McDonald of Seattle, WA; Mary Zara McDonald of Tiburon, CA; and Molly Jean McDonald of Bethesda, MD; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Beverly Case.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father William McIntyre, OFM, presiding. A reception will be held immediately after mass in the Gathering Space.

Burial will be held at a later date in St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery.
