Raleigh man killed in crash

— A Raleigh man was killed early Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle on U.S. 264 near New Hope Road.

Silvestre Marban Betancourt, 30, failed to negotiate a curve in the road, drove onto the shoulder and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to slip and land upside down. He was partially ejected during the crash, police said.

There were no other people in the vehicle. The accident happened about 3 a.m.
