— Family members of a Raleigh woman, missing since Thursday morning, are desperate to locate her.

Kimberly Bullock Thomas, 45, wife and mother of a 16-year-old daughter, was last seen by her family about 7:10 a.m. Thursday when she left her home to go to G. M. Hock Construction Inc.

Thomas had been dismissed on Wednesday from the company and said she was going to attempt to get her job back.

Her husband, Bobby Thomas, said that was the last time her family saw her.

Steve Hubrick, vice president of Hock Construction, said on Monday that she did arrive at the business Thursday morning and met with her former employers.

Hubrick said she had been dismissed the day before because of performance problems caused by a personal issue. She was told Thursday that she might be able to regain her job after a certain amount of time if she addressed the issues which led to her termination, he said.

She left the construction business about 8:30 a.m., Hubrick said.

Bobby Thomas thinks his wife did not immediately return home because she was trying to process the loss of her job, and met with some type of trouble.

“She was depressed, and I think she went out and didn’t want to come home,” he said. “She would park in a space and just think about things. I think she left herself vulnerable. ... She gets herself in vulnerable positions, she gives people too much forward credit.”

But when she didn’t return home by Thursday evening, he went searching for her.

On Friday morning, she was still missing.

He went to the bank to check to see whether his wife had withdrawn any money from their accounts. When he found that she had not, he went to police and filed a missing person report.

On Monday afternoon, Thomas said his wife still has not accessed their financial accounts.

“She’s a smoker, she hasn’t even bought a pack of cigarettes,” he said.

Thomas said he is hoping for the best – that she is with some friend who is taking care of her, and is unaware that her family is searching for her.

Though no foul play is suspected in Thomas’ disappearance, Raleigh police are assisting efforts to locate her.

Thomas is a white female, with long, brunette hair. She is about 5-foot-4.

She was driving a black 2010 Nissan Maxima with a North Carolina personalized plate reading, TALIA1.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Thomas since Thursday is asked to contact the Raleigh police tip line at 919-834-4357.
