Glinda Jean Matson, 59, of Adams, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. She was born on April 10, 1953 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Glinda was a wonderful wife and mother. Some of her most favorite activities included playing golf with her husband, tennis with her friends, shopping wherever the sales were, visiting the gulf coast and feeling the white sand squish between her toes, shelling, taking walks with her grandchildren, and just spending quality time with her entire family. Glinda celebrated life every day, touching the hearts of all she came in contact with.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd E. Matson of Adams, TN; two daughters Danielle M. Rose of Clemmons, NC and Cynthia P. Holley of Cary, NC; parents, James and Louise Postell of Blairsville, GA; sister Kennetha Patterson of Blairsville, GA; and three grandchildren, Hunter, Cooper, and London Rose of Clemmons, NC and a host of extended family and friends.

Glinda’s life will be celebrated with family and friends on Saturday April 13th noon to 3PM at the family home place at 188 Ingram Rd. Statesville, North Carolina.
