Claude E. Gillikin, Jr., age 73, of Raleigh, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013. The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Pollock St. in Selma from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, also at Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m., Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh.
Claude was a Johnston County native, born on December 21, 1939 to the late Claude and Mabel Gillikin.
He was a graduate of Kenly High School and Atlantic Christian College. Claude was a former agent with the State Bureau of Investigation. He was also employed with E. R. Squibb Human Resources. He retired as a government affairs consultant with GlaxoSmithKline. Following his retirement, Claude established his own consulting firm, the Gillikin Group.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Parrish Gillikin.
