Fire engulfs storage building, truck at Raleigh home

Raleigh firefighters repsond to a fire that engulfed a large storage building behind a house on Stockton Drive in West Raleigh early Thursday afternoon. Flames briefly spread into surrounding leaves and brush before being knocked down by the responding firefighters. No injuries were initially reported.

RALEIGH -- Firefighters answering a call at a southwest Raleigh home Thursday found a storage building and a truck engulfed in flame.

The fire was behind 668 S. Lakeside Drive, near the intersection with Stockton Drive, officials said.

The property backs onto woods where Interstates 40 and 440 meet.

No injuries were reported.
