Louise McLamb Baker

Louise M Baker of Raleigh died on Good Friday, March 29, 2013. Born in Johnston County, Louise was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lilly McLamb of Benson. She was a graduate of Meadow High School and Hardbarger Business College. She spent her professional career serving as bookkeeper with Southeastern Radio Supply Company and Gardner-Marsh Gas Equipment. Much of her adult life, she was a stay at home mom to her sons. Louise was also an active member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and a sister of Beta Sigma Phi International.

She was preceded in death by her husband W. Donald Baker, son, Greg Baker, and brother Charlie McLamb.

Louise is survived by son, Steve Baker and his wife Liz Baker of Greenville, grandchildren Chris and Sara Baker of Greenville, and Greg’s daughters, Kara and Chalee Baker of Angier. She is also survived by brother, Hubert McLamb and, sister, Ruby McLamb Allen of Benson.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 31, 2013 from 3 – 5 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 1st at St. Andrews Methodist Church at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Corinth Methodist Church in Four Oaks.
