Marvin Glenn Klutz, Sr., age, 79, 422 Dodson Rd., Mebane, NC, died, Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Hospice Home, Burlington, NC.

Mr. Klutz was born in Catawba Co., NC. He was a NC State Alumni and was a retired school teacher. He served his country for 40 years in the U.S. Navy. He was past president of the National Chief Petty Officers Assoc., The Fleet Reserve, Mebane VFW and the Armed Forces E-9 Assoc. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Mebane, NC.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Mary Stephens Klutz, home; son, David Klutz, home; & sister, Voncille Hilton, Hickory, NC. He was proceeded in death by son, Marvin Glenn Klutz, Jr., parents, Marvin Klutz and Faye Carter Klutz; brothers, Johnny Klutz and Charles Klutz; and sister, Doris Pennell.

Funeral Service: A graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 4, 2013, Minister: Dr. Terry Farmer and Rev. Judy Butler. Burial, Montlawn Cemetery, Raleigh, NC.

The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday.

In Lieu of Flowers: The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance/Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
