Statistically speaking: Small business optimism slightly increasing

According to the National Federation of Independent Business’ February Index of Small Business Optimism, 18 percent of owners cite weak sales as their top issue. Here are other findings from the report:

44% of owners hired or tried to hire in the past three months.

21% of owners had job openings they could not fill.

16% of owners reduced their selling prices in the past three months.

21% reported price increases.
