Dorothy Weaver Mustard

Dorothy Weaver Mustard, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.

She was born on March 4, 1921 in Orange, VA and was the last surviving child of Dr. Delmar Franklin and Margaret Sommers Weaver.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joseph Carson Mustard, three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her three daughters: Marsha M. Smith (Jordan) of Denver, CO; Margaret M. Dockery (Settle) of Raleigh, NC and Janet M. Layman (Bill) of Charlotte, NC; her two beloved granddaughters, Virginia Dockery Webb (Woody) of Raleigh, NC and Julia Layman Friedman (Kevin) of Woodland Hills, CA, and her four adored great-grandchildren: Anna Settle Webb, William Woodward Webb, III and Margaret Carson Grimes Webb, all of Raleigh, NC and Hayley Carson Friedman of Woodland Hills, CA.

Dot was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends. She was blessed to have had “the best birthday party of her life” which she celebrated with her family only one month before she passed.

There will be a private graveside service at Historic Oakwood Cemetery.
