Zachary Francis: Don’t censor history

Don’t censor history

I am writing in response to the recent controversy about the hanging of the Confederate flag at the old Capitol. I realize that many people view this flag as a symbol of hate and racism. However, many people view this flag as a symbol of our state’s history. We cannot censor our state’s history, because that is not doing justice to our great state. Accept our history as it is, and let it fly.
