Leave history alone

As a native of North Carolina, I find the removal of the Confederate flag from the old Capitol to be utterly ridiculous.

First, it was designed to be a temporary display replicating part of the antebellum history of the United States. Whereas I understand that some individuals may still worship the flag as a symbol of white superiority, we should not deny individuals visiting United States historic sites the right and ability to appreciate part of history, regardless of how truly dark it may be.
