Mudcats 10, Dash 1

News ReleaseApril 5, 2013

— The Opening Night festivities included fireworks at Five County Stadium, but it was centerfielder Tyler Naquin who stole the show. The Indians’ 2012 first-round pick finished a triple shy of the cycle, and recorded four RBIs in a 10-1 romp over the visiting Winston-Salem Dash on Friday.

A crowd of 4,135 cheered as Naquin rocketed a three-run home run over the right field scoreboard in the fifth that put the Mudcats up 9-1. The Mudcats will go for the series win Saturday night at 6:15 against Winston-Salem. Right-hander Jacob Lee will make his debut on the mound against Chris Bassitt for the Dash.
