Sarah Grantham: Freedom should not be violated

Freedom should not be violated

These days, the GOP-led General Assembly seems to have become a fan of “big” government.

The General Assembly has no authority to inhibit the right to vote. All North Carolinians, including college students, early voters, voters registering the same day and citizens who can only make it to the polls on Sundays have the freedom to make their voices heard in the election process.

Blatant violations of these rights and freedoms are inexcusable and un-American. North Carolinians should not stand for it. We should all contact our representatives to let them know how we feel about their violations of our freedoms.
