Boil order issued as water main break disrupts service for some in Raleigh

From staff reportsApril 11, 2013

— A boil-water advisory has been issued for two Raleigh subdivisions after a water main break on Rock Quarry Road near Sunnybrook Road.

Crews from the City of Raleigh Public Utilities Department were to begin repairs at 6 p.m. Thursday. The repairs are expected to last three to four hours and will disrupt water service to the Dutchman Creek and Quarry Point subdivisions. One eastbound lane on Rock Quarry Road will be closed during the repairs.

Residents in Dutchman Creek and Quarry Point are asked to boil all water used for human consumption for an unspecified period after the break is repaired, according to a city news release.
