Two wounded in Durham shooting, two suspects at large

From staff reportsApril 15, 2013

— Police on Monday were investigating a shooting that left two men seriously wounded in the 700 block of Carter Avenue, near Angier Avenue, Sunday night.

Police got a call at 9:35 p.m. that two men wearing ski masks and carrying guns had forced their way into a house and shot the men inside, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.

Both victims were taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment.

Police said they did not have enough of a description for either assailant to make them public, but they asked anyone with information about the attack to call detectives at 919-560-4281, ext. 29124, or CrimeStoppers at 919-683-1200.

CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
