Chelsea Creech: Small classes better

Small classes better

I was fortunate enough to attend an elementary and high school where class sizes were relatively small. I didn’t realize how important a small class was for my education until I entered college where class sizes are very large.

If the legislature passes the bill that eliminates class-size limits for elementary schools, young children will suffer. The advantages of small-class sizes are numerous. It allows for individual attention and help with specific subjects. I will want my future children to attend schools where they will be given individual attention and help.

If this bill passes, many parents will begin sending their children to private schools where class sizes are smaller and more beneficial.
