Math test takers rank tops in U.S.

April 21, 2013

Six Raleigh Charter High School students scored in the top five percent of test takers in the American Math Competition 12 test.

Sanjay Kannan, Tony Li, Elish Mahajan, Gautam Nagarj, Jonathan Tseng and Andrew Zhou earned scores that earned them invitations to take the American Invitational Mathematics Examination, an honor extended to only a few hundred students nationwide each year.

The six top scorers on the AIME are invited to represent the U.S. at the International Mathematical Olympiad.
