Wake Forest police seek suspect over counterfeit check

Wake Forest police hope the public can help them identify this man whom they want to question about an attempt to cash a counterfeit check.

WAKE FOREST POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Town police asked the public to help them identify a man they want to question in connection with an attempt to cash a counterfeit check at a Walmart store.

The man, shown in a security-camera photo, was described as black, 19 to 25 years old, about 5-foot-8 and having short hair.

The incident happened April 17, police said.

They issued their request Monday.

Police said they wanted anyone who can identify the suspect or has information about the incident to call 919-435-9610.

All calls are confidential, police said.
