Accident snarls traffic on a portion of Atlantic Avenue in Raleigh

From staff reportsApril 26, 2013

— An accident has snarled traffic on a portion of Atlantic Avenue, forcing Raleigh police to direct traffic near a damaged utility pole.

Atlantic Avenue was closed between Hodges Street and Six Forks Road earlier this afternoon as utilities crews worked to make repairs.

The street has reopened, but Raleigh police are directing traffic at intersections in the area and will have to close the street again at some point so crews can complete repairs.
