8 Ravenscroft teens perform inN.C. Eastern Regional Orchestra

Eight students from the Ravenscroft School in Raleigh were chosen by audition to perform in the N.C. Eastern Regional Orchestra this winter.

Participating in the Stringed Orchestra were senior Emily Bedsole, sophomore Laura Naslund and juniors Sara Kasbekar and Mary Grady Bell, all on violin. Participating in the Symphony Orchestra were violinist Mollie Ducoste, a senior; bassist Ashley Suh, a sophomore; and cellists Sara Brown, a junior; and Calley Mangum, a senior.

The students attended workshops and rehearsals over a three-day weekend in February, then performed at the N.C. School of Science and Mathematics in Durham.
