Man shot, killed on Fayetteville Street in Durham

— Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man found with several gunshot wounds on Fayetteville Street, south of N.C. Central University, on Monday evening.

Police found Maurice Frank Streeter, 27, of Durham lying in a parking lot in the 2500 block of Fayetteville Street just after 6:30 p.m., police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.

Paramedics rushed Streeter to a hospital, but he pronounced dead there.

Police said Tuesday that they had made no arrests in the killing.
