Flashy Gray, owned by West Point Thoroughbreds, has an injury and will be scratched from Friday's $1 million Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs.
"Flashy Gray came back from her gallop this morning with a bruised right heel," a tweet from West Point Thoroughbreds said. "Simply bad timing. She will be scratched from the Oaks."
Trained by Bill Mott, Flashy Gray was 15-1 in the morning-line for the 1 1/8- mile stakes. The gray filly had drawn post 10 in the 11-horse field.
In her five career starts, Flashy Gray has two wins and three seconds for $196,100. She finished second in both stakes this year, the Honeybee at Oaklawn Park and Fair Grounds Oaks.
