Sharon Holtz: Hardly comparable

Hardly comparable

An April 21 letter to the editor stated that if we have any gun controls or background checks, the United States will suffer the same fate as Cambodia under Pol Pot, and millions will be killed. Is the writer equating America with what was a Fourth World country whose citizens had little or no education or voting rights and probably thought the world was flat? I am tired of hearing from those who equate apples to oranges in defense of guns for anyone without restrictions.
