Local students serve in House

Melinda Kauffman of Fuquay-Varina and Amanda Spence and Chance Corbin of Raleigh recently served as pages for a week in the N.C. House of Representatives.

Pages deliver bills and other documents for lawmakers and help with clerical work and errands around the legislature. Melinda’s sponsor was Rep. Paul Stam, Amanda was sponsored by Rep. Ted Davis Jr., and Chance was sponsored by Rep. Joseph Dollar.

Melinda, the daughter of John and Sharon Kauffman, and Amanda, the daughter of Timothy and Anita Spence, are students at North Raleigh Christian Academy. Chance attends Garner High School and is the son of Richard and Amy Corbin.
