Organist wins scholarship

Michael Olson of Raleigh has been named the winner of the Cooper-Miller Organ Scholarship by the Central N.C. Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Michael Scott Olson of Raleigh has been named the winner of the Cooper-Miller Organ Scholarship by the Central N.C. Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Michael, a senior at Sanderson High School, accompanies the Sanderson Sandpipers choral group and plays organ and piano at his church. He also plays viola in the Triangle Youth Symphony.

The scholarship is worth $1,000 and is to be used for organ lessons.
