Trio charged with drug offenses after arrests at Garner motel

— Police who raided a motel room before dawn charged two women and a man in connection with what authorities said was cocaine-selling.

Victoria Christine Bates, 23, of 2526 Creech Road in Raleigh was charged with trafficking in cocaine and maintaining a place to keep and sell drugs.

Police said they found 33 grams of crack cocaine when they went into the room at the Econo Lodge at 1602 Mechanical Blvd. about 5:30 Friday morning.

Terri Lorraine Finnell, 45, of 11740 Old U.S. 64 in Spring Hope was charged with drug possession, maintaining a place to keep and sell drugs and unauthorized use or a motor vehicle, according to arrest reports.

Paul Hartsfield, 49, of 2612 Alpha Drive, which has a Raleigh address but is outside the city, was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, conspiracy to deliver cocaine and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling to keep or sell drugs.

All three were scheduled for court appearances Monday.

Hartsfield’s bail was set at $210,000.

Finnell was being held in lieu of $101,000 bail, and Bates was being held on $130,000 bail.
