Pearl Ivey Chandler, age 80, of Smithfield, NC passed away Monday, May 6, 2013. Mrs. Chandler was born in Harnett County on December 25, 1932 to the late Edgar and Ruby Ivey. She was a retired Emergency Room Nurse after serving over 30 years at Johnston Memorial Hospital and Wilson Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Chandler Waters (Mike) of Youngsville, NC, Claudia Chandler Reblora (Lawrence) of Doha, Qatar, Allison Chandler Stevens (Tracy) of Elizabeth City, NC, and Barbi Chandler Woods of Smithfield, NC; seven grandchildren, Blake Wheeless (Shawnna), Lauren Chandler, Chandler Waters, Caitlin Waters, Aaron Kubik, Adam Woods, and Jacob Woods; two great grandchildren, Ty Wheeless, and Kylie Wheeless; sister, Alene Hagwood of Rocky Mount; brother, Kenny M. Ivey (Lois) of Apex; a number of very special nieces and nephews.
