Myra Roland DuBose

Myra Thelma Roland DuBose, beloved mother and grandmother, died May 6, 2013. She was 83.

A former resident of Raleigh, Mrs. DuBose was the widow of Joseph Sterling DuBose, who preceded her in death in 1990. Born in Cuthbert, GA, on Dec. 23, 1929, she was the daughter of Elisha and Elizabeth Roland and a graduate of Blakely (GA) High School.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph Sterling DuBose (wife, Lynda) of Cross Junction; David Keith DuBose of Herndon; Alan Dean DuBose (wife, Ramona) of Raleigh; one daughter, Myra Denise DuBose (husband Francis Lloyd) of Knoxville, TN; two granddaughters, Myra Lloyd and Dove Lloyd of Knoxville; two grandsons, Wesley Sterling DuBose and Elliott Elisha DuBose of Raleigh; one brother, Durward “Woody” Roland of Greenville, GA; and several beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Centerville United Methodist Church in Blakely, GA. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at the church from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
