Raleigh-Durham International Airport officials on Thursday gave a progress report on the renovations to Terminal 1, showing off the work that began last summer.
The new version of Terminal 1 the smaller, older passenger terminal on the east side of the airport will be completed by next March.
The terminal will have one concourse with nine gates as well as 10 new shops and restaurants, including a Char-Grill and an Atlantic Coast Conference-themed cafe.
The $68 million in renovation work is centered in the main part of Terminal 1, while two airlines Southwest and AirTran operate out of the north end of the terminal. Most airlines at RDU operate out of Terminal 2 on the west side of the airport.
