Woman killed in North Roxboro Street crash in Durham

From staff reportsMay 14, 2013

— One person died after a car and a transfer truck collided at the intersection of North Roxboro Street and Bon Air Avenue shortly before noon Tuesday, police said.

Krystal Lashay Langley, 24, of Durham was fatally injured when she attempted to make a left turn from Bon Air Avenue onto the southbound lanes of North Roxboro Street, according to Durham Police Department traffic investigators.

Langley apparently pulled into the path of a northbound 2008 International box truck driven by Brian Reynolds of Danville, Va. The front of the box truck hit the driver’s side of Langley’s 1995 Chevrolet Corsica, causing the car to collide with a 2007 Mazda 3 driven by Susan Robinson of Hillsborough. Robinson was stopped on North Roxboro Street waiting to make a left turn onto Bon Air Avenue.

Langley was briefly trapped in her vehicle before she was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
