Award-winning 17-year-old pianist George Li is guest soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle Sunday in Durham’s Carolina Theatre. He plays the sparkling Mendelssohn Piano Concerto No. 1, a piece he performed earlier this year with orchestras in Boston, Edmonton and Stamford. Conductor Lorenzo Muti also leads the players in Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 7 and Bruch’s “6 Swedish Dances.” 3 p.m. $20. 919-360-3382; thecot.org.
