James "Henry" Creech

James “Henry” Creech, died on Thursday, May 16, at Rex Hospital following a stroke. Born in Johnston County on August 8, 1931, he was the son of the late James Raymond and Mollie Lewis Creech. Henry was retired from O’Berry Center in Goldsboro and from his family-owned business, Creech Pest Control and was a retired charter member of Antioch Fire Dept. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Henry was an assiduous worker and loved fishing at Swansboro, growing vegetables, and caring for his lawn.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Franklin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survived by June Watson Creech, his wife of 56 years; daughter, Renee Creech Kiefer (Mark) of Wake Forest; son, James Gregory Creech of Middlesex; and his beloved grandson Jason Kiefer; and sisters Eunice Blevins (Zane) of Hopewell, VA and Velma Wright (Charles) of Raleigh. He was preceded in death by brother Vick Creech and sisters Lucy Johnson, Maybelle Creech, Annie Creech and Sudie Creech.
