Richard Towle: Whirlwind ways

Whirlwind ways

While watching an interview with a teacher in Moore, Okla., who described what it was like to protect her students by lying on top of them while a tornado decimated the school around them (and being reminded of the teacher who died trying to save the lives of her students in Newtown, Conn.), I pondered what actions would be taken by Raleigh politicians who endlessly demonize those in the teaching profession, were they in the same situation.

It didn’t take me long to come to the obvious conclusion.
