Scout’s project hides HVAC unit

Nathan Wintermute of Raleigh has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting.

For his Eagle project, Nathan designed and installed a fence around a large HVAC unit at St.Francis United Methodist Church in Cary. He cleared several large trees for the project, which was aimed at beautifying the area.

Nathan, the son of Steve and Carrie Jo Wintermute, is a member of Troop 213 at Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church in Cary and is a senior at Athens Drive High School in Raleigh.
