Two young dancers with Raleigh Dance Theatre were selected to present their original choreography as part of the Emerging Choreographers Performance at the Regional Dance America/Southeastern Regional Ballet Association Festival in Jackson, Miss., last month.

Amy Greene, 18, presented “Inadvertent Affliction,” which explores loneliness in the context of human relationships, and Jenny Palmer, 16, presented “Canon for Nine,” set to Pachelbel’s Canon in D. Both dancers live in Raleigh.

Another member of Raleigh Dance Theatre, Cameron McCune, 17, has been accepted on an apprentice contract to the American Ballet Theatre.
