— Duke swimming and diving coach Dan Colella has announced the addition of Nunzio Esposto to the Blue Devils’ coaching staff. A successful coach on the international, national and collegiate levels, Esposto will serve as the program’s head diving coach.

Esposto returns to the collegiate coaching ranks after previously serving as the diving coach at North Carolina from 1998 to 2002. During that time he also was the coach of the N.C. Aquatic Club Diving program, guiding his athletes to senior and junior nationals qualification as well as multiple N.C. high school state titles.

Following his tenure in Chapel Hill, Esposto served as the coach of the Blue Devil Diving club program from 2003 to 2007. He directed current Duke diver and 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Nick McCrory to a spot on the USA Diving Junior National team, as well as a junior national championship and a silver medal at the Junior World Championships in 2006.
