Rest prescribed for Lady Banks

June 6, 2013

There’s nothing wrong with Lady Banks a little rest won’t fix.

The race horse owned by George and Stephanie Autry of Wake Forest and profiled in Sunday’s N&O underwent an exhaustive series of tests this week at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center in Kennett Square, Pa., under the supervision of prominent equine veterinarian Dean Richardson.

X-rays were negative on a few areas of concern and Richardson prescribed 90 days of pasture rest, George Autry said.

Lady Banks will miss the rest of the summer’s racing but should be fit to return to the track this fall. Luke DeCock
