Tractor-trailer accident closes Capital Boulevard in Raleigh for hours

— Police closed the southbound side of Capital Boulevard and an exit from the Interstate 440 Beltline to Capital Boulevard late Monday morning because of an overturned tractor-trailer on the Capital Boulevard bridge over the interstate.

Police said there were no serious injuries in the wreck, but the road was blocked for about four hours before reopening during the 3 p.m. hour.

Raleigh police were diverting traffic from Capital Boulevard onto the Beltline.
