— Omni Hotels & Resorts has reached a deal to buy five resorts from KSL Capital Partners, LLC., including the Grove Park Inn in Asheville.

Irving-based Omni did not disclose a purchase price in the agreement announced Wednesday for properties in Texas, California, North Carolina and Virginia.

In addition to the hotel in Asheville, the sites include Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin; La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.; Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, Calif; ; and The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va.

The deal adds nearly 2,400 rooms, more than 30 restaurants, three water parks, a ski facility and five spas to Omni’s Resort Collection of nearly 60 luxury hotel complexes.

KSL acquired The Grove Park in May 2012 from an affiliate of Sammons Enterprises Inc. The Sammons family has owned the Grove Park Inn for nearly 60 years.

As part of the resort’s Centennial celebration in 2013, KSL Capital Partners launched a $25 million renovation of the resort’s public areas, guest rooms, dining outlets, meeting spaces and spa.

The Grove Park is built of granite stones and overlooks the city of Asheville. Famous guests include author F. Scott Fitzgerald and William Jennings Bryan, who delivered the keynote address at the inn’s opening in 1913.
