Shirley Usry: Morality not tied to geography

Morality not geography

So “Moral Mondays” consist of “outsiders”? Let’s call a spade a spade. Take a look at the General Assembly. There are lots of our legislators many of us native North Carolinians would call outsiders. The self-supplied biographies of the members of the General Assembly reveal where they hail from: Florida, Alabama, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York and even Germany! And they are the ones walking all over our progressive heritage.

I welcome many friends (and even some legislators) who are not natives and their ideas. It isn’t necessarily geography that is telling, but where one’s morals come from is.
