Bennie Carlton Adcock

Bennie Carlton Adcock, 81, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at Wake Medical Center. He was a veteran with the US Army with 16 years of service. Most of his adult life was devoted to automotive service where he worked for Sir Walter Chevrolet and Al Smith Buick as well as owning Garner Shell and Wrecker Service.

Surviving are his daughter, Landie Adcock Vance of Raleigh; sister, Margaret Fayard of Benson; brother, Lee Adcock of Willow Springs; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Campbell Adcock in 1997.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday at Montlawn Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 7-9 pm Tuesday.
