NC DAV Elects a New Commander

Cleveland Bryant Jr. was elected as the Commander of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) at their annual convention held in Raleigh on June 8, 2013. He will serve as the DAV Commander for the state of North Carolina for the 2013-2014 year. Commander Bryant will oversee 61 chapters in the DAV representing more than 35,000 members. The focus of the DAV is to assist disabled veterans and their families so they may have a better quality of life.

Commander Bryant is a native of Raleigh and served in the Army over 20 years. Upon retirement from the Army he continued to serve by working for the Department of Treasury (IRS) before retiring and returning home to North Carolina. He continues to serve by being an active member in the DAV (Woodrow Wilson Chapter 1) and other organizations such as the American Legion (Post 67), the United Service Organizations (USO) and National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE).

Commander Bryant currently resides in Cary NC with his wife Evelyn.
