Police search for car that may have been involved in fatal shooting

From staff reportsJune 20, 2013

— Investigators are searching for a car with out of state tags that may have been involved in the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old man in East Durham on Tuesday.

It was just before 11:45 a.m. Tuesday when police found the shooting victim, Jermaine Andrea McDonald of North Hyde Park, fatally wounded in the 100 block of the street, according to police spokeswoman Kammie Michael.

Investigators do not think the shooting was a random act, and are asking for the public’s help in locating a silver or gray, four-door car.

Anyone with information about the case should contact Investigator M. Evans at 919-560-4440, ext. 29336 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
