Scout organizes a dance

Morgan Trachtman of Durham has earned the Gold Award, the highest achievement in Girl Scouting.

For her Gold project, Morgan organized a dance for teenagers to raise awareness of lymphoma and cystic fibrosis, illnesses that have affected her friends.

Morgan, the daughter of Larry Trachtman and Lynn Black, attended Jordan High School and is a member of Troop 1657 in Durham.
