Raleigh police arrest man wanted in Virginia sex-abuse case

— Police on Wednesday arrested a man at a Labrador Drive house on a warrant in which Roanoke, Va., police charge him with aggravated sexual battery involving a 5-year-old in February 2012.

Anthony William Robinson, 51, was at the house at 4240 Labrador Drive when police went there about 7 a.m., according to an arrest report.

The Virginia warrant does not give the child’s gender or other information about the charge.

Virginia law makes sexual assault a more serious charge when the victim is under 13 years old.

On the arrest report, police listed Robinson’s address as 19 I Street NW in Washington, D.C.

He was being held in lieu of $75,000 for Virginia authorities.
