From staff reportsJune 28, 2013

— Police on Friday identified the victim of a Thursday evening shooting in Lakeview Park as 19-year-old Takoreio Jaquan Jackson.

Investigators said they were looking for a dark SUV that was seen leaving the area on Dearborn Drive after Jackson was shot.

Police got a call saying shots had been fired in the 3500 block of Dearborn Drive just after 8 p.m., police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.

The first officers to arrive found Jackson, and EMS workers pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators asked that anyone with information about the incident or the SUV call them at 919-560-4440, ext. 29322, or call CrimeStoppers at 919-683-1200.

CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
